1. The Service

ImageConvert is a free, browser-based image conversion tool. It allows you to convert images between formats (JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, ICO, SVG) entirely within your own browser. No files are uploaded to any server. The Service is provided "as is", free of charge, without warranty of any kind.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• –Use the Service to convert, store, or distribute images that violate applicable law, including images that constitute child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• –Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the operation of the website or its underlying code.
• –Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or make excessive requests to the Service in a way that degrades its availability for others.

3. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of every image you convert. ImageConvert does not claim any rights over your content. Since your images never leave your device, we have no access to them whatsoever.

The ImageConvert website, its design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of ImageConvert. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from the site's assets without written permission.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ImageConvert and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. Third-Party Licences

ImageConvert uses the @jsquash/avif library (Apache 2.0 licence) for AVIF encoding and decoding in the browser. All other image processing uses browser-native APIs. Full licence information is available in the project's open-source repository.

7. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect revisions. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, with formal proceedings as a last resort.
